Au Pays de Réal Massé is where trout thrive, pheasants reign, and wilderness unfolds all around you.

Numéro CITQ : 850260
Based in Saint-Zénon in the Lanaudière region, this outfitter was founded in 1928 as “Club de Chasse et de Pêche Léonard Bellerose.” Nearly 60 years later, in 1986, hunting and fishing enthusiast Réal Massé purchased the property with a dream in mind: to create an industry landmark.
Only 6 months later, disaster struck: a devastating fire ravaged the outfitter, leaving Mr. Massé hospitalized. Thankfully, this dedicated, visionary builder refused to give up. By the following February, he was already rebuilding his dream, determined to restore the inn and cottages before the start of the May fishing season. It was a tall order, but one that Réal Massé and his team met with flying colours.
40 years later, Au Pays de Réal Massé is still a proud family-run enterprise and one of Quebec’s most coveted hunting and fishing estates. Mr. Massé’s daughter Nancy, her husband Gilles, their daughter Stéphanie, her wife Karina, and the entire team continue to shape the outfitter’s offerings with care, dedication, and respect for the founder’s legacy and vision.
Now more than ever, we’re happy to say that all roads lead to Réal Massé!
Renowned for its “table gourmande,” our restaurant offers generous cuisine featuring local produce and our region’s rich heritage. Our varied and tasty menu is up there with the best in Quebec, and the inn’s warm, rustic atmosphere promises a culinary experience that’s as comforting as it is authentic.
